Messi Says ‘Namaste India’

Lionel Messi is the new player for Tata Motors. The Indian Automobile Giant has roped in the global sporting icon to promote and endorse its range of passenger vehicles globally. In a promotional video for the automotive company, the Argentine football great speaks in the Indian lingo.

In a statement, the magician of football said “Namaste India. I am very excited about my first association with an Indian brand and am extremely thrilled to be a part of the Tata Motors family. I have always been fascinated by India and have heard such great things about this diverse country. I was once in India with Argentina National Team and I hope to visit it again,” referring to the Argentina vs Venezuela friendly he played at the Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata four years ago.

The initial contract with the footballer is for two years initially, which can be extended afterwards. To start with, Tata Motors will first roll-out the association campaign, #madeofgreat, starring Lionel Messi.
