Though Twitter thought that the motion posters resembled Pirates of Carribean and after the release of the trailer couldn’t stop gushing over the fact that Aamir Khan’s character Firangi Mullah couldn’t be more Jack Sparrowish.

The three minute 33 second trailer dates back to India set in 1795, which drops us into the the epicenter of the storyline. Thugs are gearing up to fight the East India Company, which came to India to trade but had begun to rule. Soon, enters Amitabh Bachchan, with lots of action and dialogues delivered in his signature baritone. He plays Khudabaksh, also called Azad, who is the Thug commander of the sea. Big B’s deadly confidante is archer Zafira, played by Fatima Sana Shaikh. Noticeable here is the determination in her kohl-lined eyes mingled with skills with the bow and arrow.

Here, comes the very interesting bit of the plot where viewers would be really excited to witness the face off between the two stars, ending the trailer on a cliffhanging note with the sound of clashing swords. Also, Katrina Kaif, who plays dancer Suraiyya Jaan, is the added bonus in the trailer, and we could really expect some sizzling chemistry between Aamir and Katrina. However, its difficult to conceal that which team does she belong to?
